We were at the laundromat by 9:10 this morning...might as well get this over with (sigh)! Steve dropped me and the laundry off and then went to get propane, fresh water and gas. About an hour later we were home hanging our wet laundry on the clothesline.
While we were hanging laundry, a truck pulled up...it was Allen and Donna, another couple that we had met at the RV-Dreams Fall Rally in Oregon. They are boondocking on the north side of Quartzsite on Plomosa Road. We had a nice visit with them and then they were off. They are leaving the area tomorrow, starting a slow journey north. So good seeing you...safe travels!
After lunch, we went out for a walk...Steve snapped pictures of the groups of RVers that are here...
About 3:30 we received a phone call...it was Cec, they are set up here at La Posa South, not far from us and would like to come over for a visit. Cec and Alan are one of three couples we met on our trip to Alaska and shared many happy "hours" with. We have kept in touch with them and knew they were going to be in the area this week and were looking forward to connecting with them again. A little while later they found our spot...although Allan couldn't find the driveway and did a little "boonie-bashing" in his jeep (LOL). We had such a great time re-connecting with them...reminiscing about our Alaska trip and catching up what we have all been doing since.
Time to bring out the campfire-in-a-can. It was going on 9:00 when we called it a night and they headed back to their coach. Hope to connect with you again before you leave the area!
Love these photos and stories you've been sharing, Steve and Dianne! Hope that you had a great time at Quartzsite, and very glad to see your Campfire In A Can has been getting lots of use on those cooler desert nights. :)
ReplyDeleteWe'd love to share some of the Campfire photos (credit to you of course!) if that would be alright with you, just let us know here (I'll get an email) or send us a quick email at sales@campfireinacan.com. Look forward to hearing from you!
Thanks again!
