Earl and Allison...Bob in the lead...
We stopped at the top of this hill to look for a geocache that Earl and Allison had hidden.
Beautiful view from up here...
Found your cache, Earl and Allison!
On to the next!
Earl is looking for a spot to stash a geocache...
Arriving at Dripping Springs...
Smells like Bats have been in here!
There are also petroglyphs there...
Time to search for more geocaches...
While they wait...there were 3 geocaches that Bob and Sue had hidden along this section of road...
...we found all three...
And then it was time to carry-on...such beautiful country...
We stopped for lunch at Apache Chief Cabin...
It says...Moe...I am no Moe...May I rest in piece
Inside the cabin...
Me, Allison, Bob, Earl, Sue and Art...(Earl and Allison belong to the Comox Valley ATV Club, Bob and Sue are with the Prince George ATV Club.)
After lunch, I headed off in search of a geocache that all of us tried to find last year but weren't successful. A few minutes later, Steve and Earl came out to help.
And I finally found it (thanks for the encouragement, Earl!) Steve is above me on top of the hill...
...and Earl is below me (he took this picture). You had to be a friggin mountain goat to find this one!
Cold and sleepy Tarantula...
"Eagle-eye" Allison found the cache. Can you see Coco (hidden behind the rock)?
Time to carry-on to Hogback Trail. The start of it (from the north end) has a very steep rocky start...not my favourite spot (but I made it)!
Great valley views...
We managed to get a group picture... Sue, Bob, Steve, Dianne, Art, Allison and Earl...
And away we go...
"Hogback"...
This trail is the shortcut down from where we stopped up top for the view (and our group picture)...it isn't recommended...
Rush hour on Hogback Trail...
Quartzsite in the distance...
