Monday, January 13, 2014 (La Posa South LTVA, Quartzsite, AZ)

It was another beautiful sunny day here on the desert with temperatures in the mid-70's (20's). We really didn't get up to much today. I went on a morning walk while Steve started working on our new helmets. He transferred the hardware for our radios from our old ones over to the new ones. I really want to get new, much smaller radios but they aren't in the budget for this year...so we'll just have to make due with the old big ones...for now.

Steve went into Quartzsite to fill the small propane tank and get drinking water while I did some baking. While in Q, Steve also picked up some special heavy duty glue to fix the plastic hand guard/mirror on his quad...it turned out to not be so "heavy duty" because it broke again as soon as he tried putting it back on his quad.

The rest of the afternoon was spent relaxing. Since we were awake shortly after 5 this morning Steve tried to have a little snooze...

...while I read.

We walked across "the street" to Earl and Allison's shortly before 5:00 to see if they wanted us to pick anything up for them on our trip to Parker tomorrow. We ended up sitting outside with a beer/wine with Earl...Allison had gone out on another long late afternoon walk.

As the sun got lower in the sky, we headed home...and that was pretty much our day....
