Saturday, December 14, 2013 (La Posa South LTVA, Quartzsite, AZ)

We had a pretty laid back day today. After our usual start, we headed out for a walk...it was about 10:30 by this time. We stopped at Bob and Sue's place and chatted with them for a bit before continuing our walk.

Once back, I decided to do some banking and work on our budget...always a fun activity! Steve was outside measuring our awning. We have wanted a sunscreen that fits onto our awning for some time now and since that side of the trailer faces south, we decided to go into Quartzsite and get one today. We had looked at them the other day at K&B Tools but we weren't sure of the size...so with the measurement taken, we were off.

Our awning is 15'...and the sunscreens come in sizes 12', 14', 16'...etc. So we decided on a burgundy 14' x 7' one. We picked up a package of small bungee cords...and after paying $63, we were on our way home. The screen was easy to install, having a cord that just slipped into the track on the awning. After helping Steve hang the sunscreen, I went inside to make lunch while he finished up securing the bottom.
Sometimes it's too hot to sit in the sun, too cool in the shade so this should be just right. Here is the newest addition to our home...

I'm just finishing my lunch as Steve takes these pictures...

After our late lunch, I went back inside and continued working on our budget. Steve tried to have a little nap outside in his chair but that didn't last long...soon we were both inside reading. The wind had come up again and it was a little chilly sitting outside.

And that was pretty much our day...
