Yes, it was another cold start to the day...we've about had enough of this cold snap, after all, we came south for the winter to enjoy the warm weather...HA!
We bundled up and headed out mid-morning for a walk...after chatting with Earl and Allison...and then further along the road, Sue...we had a good, brisk walk...but that wind was quite bone-chilling!
Pictures of our yard...the previous occupants have "landscaped" it well...
The firepit...
After out walk, Steve thought he'd take Earl's lead and wash the windows...I was inside trying to figure out how to download "saved" GPS tracks from my Montana 600. It seems to only download "current" tracks...hmmmm...
Shortly after 1:00 Steve suggested we go out on our ATVs and find some of the geocaches in the area. Again, we bundled up and were on our way...here is our (Steve's) first find...
...and another...
...another...
...and another...
Steve thinks this is a pet cemetery out in the desert...
Apparently there is a geocache hidden around this sign but we couldn't find it.
We found 11 caches and were back home at about 4:00...another great afternoon out on our quads!
After dinner, we went over to Earl and Allison's and played Rummikub. We had played it years and years ago so couldn't remember much about it...but it didn't take too long before we had the hang of it.
Allison was the big winner of the evening...winning all of the hands except two (we didn't add up losing hands and keep score that way...instead, we just counted who won each hand). I managed to win one hand...and Steve managed one for the "guys".
About 9:30, we thanked our hosts for a great evening and headed home...what a fun time...I think we will be playing that more over the next couple of months!
