December 1, 2013 (Travel to La Posa South LTVA, Quartzsite, Arizona)

After hugs and handshakes, we said goodbye to Charlene and Dennis and left our nice little spot on the wash at Midland LTVA. We stopped at the sani-dump and were soon on our way down to I-10...and east to Quartzsite.

We crossed the Colorado River...

 ...and were soon nearing Quartzsite...

An interesting sight...a jet that looks like it is mounted on a flat-deck truck...

After a grueling 40 minute drive from our spot at Midland, (Steve was exhausted!) we entered Quartzsite...

Not very busy here yet...but just wait until mid-January....the big RV show is January 18th - 26th this year...

About 2 miles south on highway 95, we turned into La Posa South LTVA....

We filled up with fresh water and then went to find our spot. Earl had set up a couple of lawn chairs and mat in the spot across from them...thanks for saving a spot for us Earl and Allison!

After getting situated in an east-west direction to maximize solar input, we were about to unhitch when Rob and Peggy stopped by to welcome us back. We had a nice chat with them and then got started with our set up. Steve was just about to off-load the quads when Earl, Allison, Bob and Sue returned from their ATV ride...they had had a busy day of setting out 53 new geocaches.

Bob and Sue got a campfire going and we all gathered for happy hour...so good seeing them! Left to right...Steve, Bob, Sue, Earl and Alison (with Abbey on her lap)...

At about 6:00, we all headed home...we're looking forward to settling down for awhile here and spending time the group.

After dinner, our son, Chris, Skype-called us...we had a great chat, getting caught up with everything that is going on in his life. Chris is an animator with Capcom Game Studio Vancouver, BC and the game he has been working on since joining the company a couple of years ago was just released last week...Dead Rising 3 was released on the new Microsoft XBox One platform.
