Blue sky and sunshine this morning...YAY!! What a change from yesterday`s weather!!

We had a slow morning...coffee, exercises, showering, breakfast...then Steve set up the satellite dish and I helped Donna with a computer problem. It was just before noon by the time we set out with Garth and Donna in their truck.

We headed to Alliston and the Honda plant to see if we could take a tour of the facilities. Unfortunately we found out that all tours had been suspended for the season...too bad...it would have been interesting tour.

Garth took us on quite a tour of the area...we were actually headed to a place call Mono Centre. It was a small historic community nestled in the country with a great restaurant that was in a heritage house. We were going to stop for a snack then head to a nearby trail for a hike. After finally engaging his GPS for some help, along with a couple of stops to ask for directions, we finally found Mono Centre.

The restaurant is very quaint...unfortunately the downstairs pub was not open Wednesdays, so we selected a corner table upstairs. Garth and Donna had been out for dinner with their daughter and her husband and had sat downstairs...apparently it is very unique down there.

After our snack, we drove a short distance to Mono Cliffs Provincial Park for a hike. We had a good hour hike stopping along the way at the lookouts along the cliffs. The path took us down into the valley and looped back up the hillside. It sure felt good to get out for a good hike.

After our hike, we headed into Orangeville to Sobey’s so I could pick up some tortilla shells and chicken for fajitas...we were having Garth and Donna for dinner tonight.

We arrived home just after 4:30. It was lovely outside, so Garth set up some chairs across the street in the sun and we enjoyed happy hour soaking in the sun while chatting and munching on the veggies (Donna supplied a veggie tray).

Once the sun went down behind the trees, we headed inside. While I prepared dinner, the others watched a slideshow of our pictures. After dinner, we settled down to watch TV...this was a great novelty for Garth and Donna as they haven’t had any TV for quite some time.

It had been a great day visiting with Garth and Donna and seeing the area.
