He picked me up and then we thought we’d take a drive to the other end of the Hobsonway, the main street in Blythe. We came across a Radio Shack store and since Steve had been trying to get some replacement batteries for the tire sensors, we stopped in. We also stopped at the Verizon store to see about getting an antenna for the MiFi...apparently it’s an inexpensive way of adding a boost to the reception. They didn’t have any so we’ll have to check at Best Buy when we get to Phoenix...we have to go there to get a new battery for the laptop anyway.
We were back home by 1:00 and after a bite to eat, I went across the way to invite Charlene and Dennis over for happy hour...we thought we would get the ‘campfire in a can’ out. We spent the rest of the afternoon sitting outside reading our books.
Just before 4:00, we started getting ready for our guests...quite a breeze had come up so we decided to set up the campfire on the backside of the trailer, using the trailer as a windbreak. As it turned out, as soon as the sun went down at 4:20, the wind died down...figures.
Well, our happy hour didn’t end until about 8:00! The time just flew by as we sat chatting...what a great evening!
