Tuesday, October 30, 2012 (Lake Havasu State Park, Lake Havasu City, AZ)

We had a pretty relaxing morning...other than doing our resistance exercises, that is.  After showers and breakfast, we just chilled reading our books for the rest of the morning.

Just after 1:00 we walked over to the where the foot passenger ferry docks...we are going to take the boat over to California for an afternoon at the Havasu Landing Casino.  We took a shortcut along this sandy path that goes from the day-use area in the park to the channel walkway...I wouldn't doubt that they eventually extend the walkway all along the channel...

We boarded the 2:00 boat for the 20 minute ride across the lake...

This is the new ferry that will go into service on December 3...must be out on the lake for test runs...

We are through the channel and on the open lake...(we sat up top on the open deck)...

This is our destination...

...and into the casino we all go...

The slots let us play for a good couple of hours...in other words, they didn't just take our "allowance" all at once.  Actually Steve played with just $10...while I plugged in $20.  It was just after 5:00 when we headed outside to wait for the 5:30 boat back to the Arizona side...and here it comes...

Time to board...
And we're off...

We docked back in Lake Havasu City just before 6:00 and walked back to the campground.  It was a beautiful evening...and very hot inside the trailer since it had been closed up all afternoon, so we opened all of the windows and then sat outside for a bit to let it cool down.  We'd had a fun afternoon!
