Saturday, October 27, 2012 (Lake Havasu State Park, Lake Havasu City, AZ)

Ahhh....sunshine and no wind this morning!  Yay!  We woke at 6:30 to the sound of motor boats on the lake...my goodness, they are out early!  I figured they were getting an early start on the fishing derby today.  There is also a boat and RV show today, a parade over the London Bridge...all sorts of activities happening this weekend.

While I was getting cleaned up, Steve drove down to the Park gate to see exactly when and for how long site 34 was available.  As it turned out, it was only vacant for a couple of nights but site 36 was available tomorrow... I guess Harry and his wife are leaving...so Steve booked it until Monday, November 5.  So we will be moving across the road tomorrow once Harry leaves.  I still don’t have internet so I guess we will be spending some time at Starbucks...using their internet.

Rather than battle the crowds on a busy Saturday, we decided to just chill around here.  Steve sat outside reading his book while I decided to bake some cookies...which really heated up the inside of the trailers since it was already 80F/25C outside.

We sat outside in the shade reading until around 2:00 when we decided to go for a walk.  We took the trail that winds along the lakefront to the day use area...

Suzanne, here is a lighthouse for you :)

The London Bridge...

The boat and RV show was taking place in the large lot adjacent to the day use area so we thought that we would just wander over and take a look.

Very cool boats but are very noisy on the lake as they are unmuffled...

Steve just loves the roominess of these pontoon boats...

4 Wheel Drive on this truck...

The Golden Horseshoe Steakhouse sounds like a great place for dinner...it's about 5 miles away...might have to consider it sometime over the next week.

Back home, we resumed our spots in the shade and relaxed for a bit until deciding to go inside and watch the news from back home (BCTV news via our satellite).  Tomorrow we will pack up and move across the road...a bit of a pain but it is a much nicer back-in site right on the lake.
