Friday, January 11, 2013 (Indian Waters RV Resort, Indio, CA)

We woke to bright blue sky and no wind (okay, maybe a bit of a breeze)...ahhh...it is going to be a much nicer day than yesterday!  After our usual relaxing coffee start to the day, we did our exercises, showered, had breakfast and did the dishes...we are now ready for Dennis and Suzanne to pick us up.

One thing I forgot to mention yesterday is that we re-connected with two couples that we met at the RV-Dreams Rally in Oregon last September.  Dave and Diane have been here in the park for a week now and are just 4 sites down from us.  Yesterday, Bob and Karen arrived in their motorcoach and took the vacant site right next door to us.  Steve was outside talking with them for quite awhile (while I had my shower)...we will definitely have to get together for a visit with them before they leave!

It was just after 11:00 when Dennis and Suzanne picked us up.  We were going to go to Costco to order more contact lenses.  I had a new prescription so I had no problem ordering mine...unfortunately, Steve's prescription was outdated...sheesh!

After picking up a few things at Costco, Dennis headed to the mall...Suzanne and I are going shopping!  On the way, we went through La Quinta, Indian Wells to Palm Desert...Steve took some pictures along the way...

After dropping us off, Dennis and Steve drove back to our place and sat outside in the sunshine for bit...until the park staff decided it was time to mow the lawns.  It got too dusty and noisy so they went over to Dennis' place.  Steve took a few more pictures of Outdoor Resorts, Indio on the way into their place...

We called to be picked up at the mall...it was about 3:30 when they drove up.  Then we drove to La Quinta Resort & Spa.  Wow...very nice!  Apparently it is where the celebrities would go to escape the limelight of LA....interesting history.  We took lots of pictures as we wandered around the property...

Once we finished our wandering, we headed back to Dennis and Suzanne's place and sat inside...it was very chilly outside!  We enjoyed a couple of cocktails and then decided to go out for dinner.  A couple of pictures taken outside before we left (thank you, Suzanne)...

Stuffed from an awesome dinner at DJ Asian Buffet, we were dropped off at home.  Thank you, Dennis and Suzanne...we had a great day!
