...and their agriculture check...
It's interesting how the scenery has changed to include quite a bit of grass...very brown grass...
We had a bit of a delay when we came up to an accident on the freeway...traffic was really backed up; it's amazing just how many semi-trailers there are on the highways...
Surprisingly, the delay wasn't all that long...maybe 10 or 15 minutes...and we were all on our way again.
Here we are coming down into the valley...almost at Indio...
We arrived at Indian Waters RV Resort at around 1:30. A beautiful park..
After checking in, we were escorted to our site (#98)...a beautiful grassy site (pictures to come later). We got all set up and were relaxing outside in the late afternoon sunshine when Dennis and Suzanne (my brother and sister-in-law) came by to pick us up. We have been included in an invitation to dinner at their neighbour's place. They have an RV site at a motorcoach only park...Outdoor Resorts, Indio. This is their place...
Suzanne picked some fresh lemons and grapefruit from the trees...she is just walking over to her neighbour's place to water the trees...
Then we hopped onto the golf cart and they took us on a tour of the resort...
The breezeway between buildings...
In this picture...Ed, Hal, Dennis, Pat, Marion, Suzanne and me...
We had an absolutely wonderful dinner...Ed barbecued some delicious steaks (Alberta beef); Pat made quite a feast to go with them...roasted potatoes, green beans, salad and garlic toast...followed with pie for desert. So good!
It must have been well after 9:00 by the time Dennis and Suzanne dropped us off at home...we're looking forward to spending time with them and seeing the area.
