We woke to mostly cloudy skies but the rain had stopped and the fog eventually rolled in. As the morning progressed, it cleared and looked like it was going to be a pretty nice day. So much so that Steve decided to go out and dry off the truck and 5th wheel.
While he spent the morning doing that, I was inside doing dishes and cleaning up...and basically puttering around. Steve was outside all morning working on the rig. Once he had finished, we were sitting at the table having lunch when we started to notice heavier clouds coming in. No...it can't be...please don't rain!
Well, it wasn't long before the bank of clouds were upon us and we were all socked-in...and yes, it started to rain. Poor Steve...all that work for nothing!
So we sat inside until the main downpour was finished...and when the clouds started to lift a bit, decided to grab our umbrellas and get out for a walk. We were glad we weren't camped at the State Park as it's at the base of the mountains and seemed to be getting a lot more rain then we were.
We headed off down the road... our rig in the distance...
The next two photos are of a mostly dry lake bed...
Don't know if the water was always there or from the rain we had...
It did start sprinkling on our way back...enough to require our umbrellas, but it sure felt good to get out for a good 40 minute power walk! We sat inside for awhile...Steve on the iPad and me on the laptop until we saw a few breaks of sunshine making their way through the clouds.
Time to go outside for our happy hour and enjoy the view...
To end our day on a high note...Rob sent more pictures of Conner...Proud Dad with his son...
