We were in the middle of our exercises this morning when the phone rang at 8:14...it was Lucky saying that our truck would be ready for pickup anytime after 10:00...awesome! We had a fellow from a mobile RV service coming at noon to fix the hot water tank so we would be there to pick it up this afternoon.
After breakfast and showers, Steve and I decided to go for a walk around the RV Resort...we ended up having a good 45 minute power walk. I took some pictures along the way. Huge grapefruit tree along side a equally huge orange tree...
A Bocce Ball Tournament is on today...
This is the Fiesta Section Clubhouse where the Canada Dinner was held last Saturday...
Once back, we sat with a bottle of water and chatted with Dennis and Suzanne for a bit before heading inside for lunch before the RV fellow arrived. Hopefully, he won’t take long to fix the hot water tank so that we can get on our way to pick up the truck.
The mobile RV Repair guy showed up shortly after noon. Apparently the hot water tank has fittings on the hot water outlet and cold water inlet that look identical but the hot has an internal check valve in it that had an O-ring that dislodged from its original position. Good to know!
With the hot water tank fixed...including a rather exorbitant bill for a job that took less than 20 minutes...we all piled into the jeep and were on our way at about 1:00. Dennis and Suzanne were going to drop us off at Lucky Luciano Custom & Collision...we could hardly wait to see the paint job on the truck.
Lucky did a great job...we are very pleased...especially with the grizzly bear that he did on the back of the truck...all airbrushed...nice job!
Here is a picture of Lucky along with some of his work...cool cabinets...
We arrived back home shortly before 3:00...Suzanne and Dennis were going to a casino in Chandler for a couple of hours...I wish that I had thought to get a key for the motorhome so that I could have let Dunkin out since we were home.
Steve took these pictures when we got home...the pictures don't show the metallic colour in the paint. Lucky also did 5 coats of clear-coat on the entire truck to protect the graphics...
We carry Yamaha Grizzly ATVs in the truck box...hence..."Grizzly Den"...
After talking to Dave and Ellen, our neighbours from across the street, and Ed from around the corner, we sat outside chatting about our plans for the next couple of months. We are going to Catalina State Park for a few days when we leave here on Monday...but after that, we’re not sure where we are going to go...we’ll have to take a look at a map I guess.
We were sitting inside watching the news when Dennis and Suzanne returned home. They came over for another look at the truck and then came inside for a visit. It was after 7pm when we all decided we should call it an evening and get dinner.
