Sunday, August 3 to Wednesday, August 6, 2014 (Paska Lake Recreation Site, Logan Lake, BC)

Sunday was a pretty lazy day. I went out with Steve in the boat late morning...he, along with most other boaters on this lake, is using his electric motor making it a very peaceful ride. He caught a couple of little scrappers. A fish also jumped right beside the boat getting me wet!

Me reading...I didn't bother with a licence this year, so no fishing for me...

Thunder clouds are forming as predicted...now will we get the 80 km/hr winds too???

It was a sunny morning but we were keeping our eyes on some clouds that were building. A thunderstorm is forecast for the area today. After just over an hour on the lake, we headed in...the clouds were getting rather ominous and the wind was picking up.

We watched thunderclouds form and dissipate all afternoon with rumbling thunder but they seemed to bypass us. There was one break and Steve managed to get out in the boat again for a little fishing. I spent the afternoon reading...as usual.

Late afternoon we had to move under the awning because it had started lightly raining but it really didn't amount to much. After dinner, the thunderclouds gave us a bit of a lightning show...with only a slight mist...basically dry lightning...that's not going to be good for the dry forests.

Monday was basically a repeat of Sunday...lazing outside in our chairs...reading...and, of course, Steve went fishing. Steve also went out on the lake, floating on an air mattress. I went out for a few minutes on the floating chair but found it a little hard to maneuver when the wind came up...and I didn't want to end up at the other end of the lake!

After dinner we went for a walk up the hill where we could get a cell/internet signal...to check email. It was a lovely evening. Here is Steve posing with the cows....

Tuesday Steve went out fishing for a couple of hours in the morning...there are lots of Loons here...

It was about noon when we decided to head out for another quad ride...this time towards Duffy Lake. Unfortunately, we forgot to take the camera...can you believe that?! Well, at least I had my phone with me so we managed to take a some pictures!

We stopped on the top of this mountain for a rest on our way back...don't know what type of plants these are...

We were gone for a few hours and had a great ride. We've managed to see quite a bit of the area.

We have decided to leave here Thursday, so Wednesday was a pack up day...time to put away all of the toys. It was also very smokey...lots of forest fires burning (again)...
