Tuesday, October 9, 2018 (Travel to Cabela's, Hudson, Massachusetts)

After a quiet night in the RV lot, we were up early and had coffee in bed. It was a cloudy, drizzly morning as we waited for Webb's RV Service to open up at 8:00 a.m.

They are very busy and commented that they never know what techs would show up for work, (that's strange!) but said they would fit us in as soon as possible. So as they towed the trailer into a bay, we headed off for breakfast...to a spot recommended by the staff.

When we got back, they were just finishing up. They had managed to adjust the slide to within an eighth of an inch but being so busy they weren't able to take care of the bent frame. They said it will be fine until we get to Elkhart.

We got hitched back up and were on the road shortly after 11:00 a.m. After the cloudy start to the day, the sun had finally come out...
I snapped lots of scenery pictures...mostly involving rivers LOL...

Crossing the Piscataqua River into Portsmouth, New Hampshire...

Out of New Hampshire...and into Massachusetts...

Merrimack River as we near Methuen...
This appeared to be an old factory but now houses many different businesses and a college as far as we could tell...

It is so populated back east...with Interstates and highways going every which way!

After 248 miles and about 4 1/2 hours, we arrived at the Cabela's in Hudson, Massachusetts. We had one heck of a time finding our way into the huge shopping area because of weight restrictions, but we finally found the truck delivery entrance and that led into the parking area beside Cabela's. We went inside to confirm that it was okay to park for the night...
Unfortunately, the lot had quite a slope to it so we had to unhitch...but we managed to get level. It was also super hot out...80F/27C and very humid! A rather pleasant surprise as we thought that we had left behind the shorts and flip flops when we left Bar Harbor!

We spent a quiet evening...dinner and then into the bedroom to watch TV.

    1. Thought it was best to at least get it checked out by the pros before continuing to use it.

  2. Cabela's is always a must stop but we have run into a few situations where that parking lot was not level and had to unhook. That traffic looked crazy, certainly do not miss that!

    1. This is actually the first Cabela's that we have stopped at overnight. Crazy traffic...didn't care much for that and I wasn't even the one driving!

  3. It always amazes me how much water there is back east. Gotta love staying at Cabelas. Nice change from Walmarts. Pretty fall color.

    1. I find rivers very picturesque! This Cabela's was a little difficult to get into but nice once there...and much quieter than most Walmarts.
