Thursday, October 25, 2018 (Travel to Walmart, Springfield, Illinois)

After emptying our holding tanks at the sani-dump behind Duncan RV Repairs, we pulled out of their lot at about 9:00.  Yay! We're on the road again!

We navigated through some crazy, busy traffic, making our way over to I-55 south. This is a very scenic little spot...
Not sure what this is, it was on both sides of the highway....maybe an old rock quarry...
Our drive today was uneventful and not even that scenic...mainly flat farmland. We brushed close to the outskirts of Chicago...

A couple of scenic rivers along the way...

 Sangamon River....
We gained an hour when we arrived at Walmart, Dirksen Pkwy, Springfield, Illinois...so it was about 1:30 instead of 2:30. After going inside to confirm it was okay to park overnight, we picked up a few groceries and then did a minimal set up in the trailer.

We chilled inside for a while, doing some route research and discussing our next stop...then decided to walk over to Buffalo Wild Wings for drinks and dinner...how convenient that there is one on the other side of the parking lot!!

    1. Hope you’re enjoying the warm weather. Had a major windstorm yesterday with trees down across the driveway and branches everywhere. Chainsaw workday today!
