After a quiet night at the Cabela's parking lot, we pulled out just after 8:30...and made our way back to the Interstate.
We had another long travel day...going from Massachusetts...
...through Connecticut...
Hartford ahead...
Housatonic River...
...into New York State...
Over the Hudson River...
The Newburgh-Beacon Bridge over the Hudson River....
...and into Pennsylvania....
We arrived at the Mohegan Sun Pocono Casino around 3:00...
...and parked at the back of the casino in lot E. Unfortunately, it was not at all level. There was also a big gravel area across the road where a sign indicated oversized vehicles and RVs were to go but I called the casino and they said it was okay on the paved parking lot with the buses. Heavy rain is expected tomorrow so we will stay put and don’t want to be parked in a muddy lot. It is still very hot and humid out but with a cold front coming in tomorrow, it is supposed to cool down.
We walked up to the casino to check it out...there are a number of restaurants and bars to choose from…some are only open on weekends. We decided on Molly McShea’s Irish
pub…
We enjoyed drinks and dinner....and a woman came in and gave us a $15 food voucher she had won but couldn't use. Bonus!
Thursday, as predicted, was a major rain day...but it was still hot and humid out. After a couple of long travel days, it was nice to have a 'down' day.

Wow, hot and humid in October! Weird. Some pretty country. Nice of that lady to give you her food voucher.
