It was a cold rainy night...so glad that Steve had decided to hook up our propane heater. So as soon as we crawled out of bed, we turned the heater up, put the coffee on...and got back into bed until the coffee was ready.
We pulled out of Walmart and said goodbye to Tallmadge at about 8:35 a.m. It was still cloudy and cool out. As usual, I took pictures along the way.

There is a large Amish population in Indiana...
Unfortunately, there was a major detour that took us way out of the way, adding about an extra hour to our drive today. At LaGrange, we headed south on highway 9...
...through the small community of Wolcottville...
...west of highway 6, we were beginning to think we were lost as the detour signs were few and far apart...
...and north on highway 5, through Ligonier...
Love all of the horse and buggies on the road...
It seems we hit Amish rush hour...
Elkhart is a major RV manufacturing city...Lippert trailer frames...
We arrived at Duncan RV Repair around 4:00 and set up in the campground they have for customers...water and 50 amp power, with a sani-dump available...
Our appointment with Duncan RV isn't until Monday but after some long travel days to get here, it will be nice to have a relaxing day tomorrow to just chill.
With the temperature tonight forecast to go down to 37F/2.8C tonight...we'll have the electric heaters running!
I think those horse and carriages are so cool! The horses are so well trained it seems like even the largest trucks don't seem to bother them.
ReplyDeleteThey are very cool to see and some of those horses prance so proudly.
DeleteAmish rush hour lol, good one ;) That would be different to see on the highway. At least the detour showed you some nice farm country.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a unique area with all those buggies on the roads.
DeleteGlad you finally got to where the real repairs can take place.
ReplyDeleteIt amazes me how the Motorized Traffic doesn't bother the horses and they have their own parking spaces at most stores.
Be Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
It amazed us as well.
