This picture of Steve was actually taken by Ray yesterday, but I thought I'd put it in today...too funny!
We were back around 1:00 and after a bite to eat for lunch, Red and Steve took off with Red's Quadcopter to take a picture of the map of North America that folks here in the desert made out of rocks...very impressive!
Shortly after they left, Pam and I headed off with Codie; GPS's in hand...time to get out on the desert for some exercise and geocache hunting!
A couple of hours later, we were home...hot and tired, having walked 4 miles (6.5 kms). Pam also found the caches she was after...
Red and Pam joined us for a drink and after they went home, Steve and I continued to sit outside enjoying the sunset and the early evening. Although a wee bit chilly, it was one of the warmest evenings we had had for quite some time.
I didn't sleep well Friday night...it felt like I was awake a long time; just couldn't get back to sleep after waking up in the wee hours. Obviously I did eventually get to sleep because it was 7:30 when I woke up.
Our shopping trip started at Walmart...then onto Safeway...followed by a stop at Basha's. By the time we were finished, Deb's SUV was packed! Our final stop was at Crossroads Cafe for lunch...and then we were on our way home. It was around 2:30 when we arrived home. A good day out...thanks ladies!
They got home shortly before 4:00. I was just finishing up a little banking and budget work on the laptop, so by the time Steve had put his stuff away and changed, I was ready to join him outside in the late afternoon sun. We enjoyed a drink before a rogue cloud covered the last of the sun and we decided to head inside.
After dinner, we settled in front of the TV to watch the Vancouver Canucks play the Calgary Flames...well, I sat with the laptop catching up on our blog...
You guys have the most fun! Looking forward to some desert time soon.
