Monday, February 1, 2016 (La Posa South LTVA, Quartzsite, AZ)

It was another windy day in Quartzsite...and it was also windy in Yuma! Just before 10:00, Earl called to say that Allison had decided to go to Yuma for a little shopping and she was ready whenever I was. I just had to get dressed...and then the two of us were on our way.

We had a great day...stopping at Walmart (where I managed to find the wool I was looking for) and Michael's, then lunch at Applebee's. After that we continued onto more craft stores, JoAnne's and Hobby Lobby, as Allison searched for a tool she needed. Unfortunately, she had no luck. Then it was onto Fry's for a few groceries...and home. It was about 5:00 by the time we got home...wow, what happened to that day?!

Steve had a busy day over at Earl's place...he, Earl and Eric all got together and did some fly tying.
Steve got a fly tying kit years ago and had only ever tied two flies before. It was nice getting lessons from a proficient fly tyer like Earl. Brothers Eric and Earl...

Steve says it's not as easy as it looks on TV, lots of concentration is required...
It's going to take lots of practice...

Hopefully they look enough like bugs and the fish aren't too fussy...

...and they don't fall apart when they hit the water...

And that was pretty much our day. We had an easy dinner...roast chicken that I had picked up at Fry's...and then hunkered down in front of the TV for the evening.
