Neither of us slept well last night...no idea why...all I know is that we were both dragging our butts this morning when we finally rolled out of bed at 7:30.
While Steve was having his shower, I cooked bacon and eggs for him and while he was eating, I headed out for a power walk. 45 minutes and 3 miles later I was home to an empty trailer...Steve had gone with Red into town.
I had a leisurely morning...and was sitting at the table with the laptop working on the blog when Steve got home. They had made a bunch of stops in town...Red was checking out power alternatives for his new toy hauler...you know, new AGM batteries, inverter, etc.
Apparently this poster is at Discount Solar..."Please keep all weapons holstered unless need arises. In such a case, judicious marksmanship is appreciated"...too funny!
Of course, no trip into town for the guys can't be without a stop at the RC park!
This P-51 flyer is from Quesnel, BC. Last summer in BC the Mount Polley Mine tailing dam burst causing huge environmental devastation. The pictures we've seen on the news of the mine tailing dam breach and devastation were taken by the helicopter his son flies.
Steve went right to bed when he came in the trailer...he was exhausted! But an hour later, he was up saying "that was a waste of time"...he couldn't sleep but at least he had a bit of a rest.
We had a bite to eat and then Steve responded to an email from folks back in BC who had questions about our lifestyle. I sat outside reading...good thing we have the sun screen up on the awning because we're into a hot spell here...with temps into the 80's!
Around 4:30 Red and Pam came over and joined us for happy hour. We got caught up on the events of the day and about an hour later they headed home.
I think tomorrow Steve and I are going to get out on the quads and do a little geocaching...it's been a while!
My gawd! The firearms notice. Only in America.
