We started the day off in our usual fashion...coffee and the morning news. We were entertained by the chipmunks and marmots outside. They seem to enjoy the bird seed more than the birds do!
It was mid morning by the time we had all of the laundry bags stowed away in the truck and were on our way into Logan Lake to do laundry and get propane, gas, diesel and beer/wine. The countryside is very pretty...
We found the laundromat on the edge of town, not far from the sani-dump but it had no change machine (I hate that!!), so we had to drive all of the way into town. We found the little shopping plaza that housed a bank, liquor store, grocery store, etc and I managed to get change at the liquor store.
We drove back to the laundromat where I commenced my most favourite thing to do. It was actually okay, though, because they had a nice big table where I could set up the laptop. So I was able to get online and pay bills and get caught up on some emails. Steve headed off to get gas, propane and diesel and when he returned, he was getting caught up on the iPad. You don't realize how much you miss being connected with the outside world until you don't have it!
After all the work was done, we headed back to camp. Along the way, we came across some cows being herded off the road...
We were back in plenty of time for Steve to get out in the boat for a little fishing...
Waterfall from Tunkwa Lake which is only a couple of hundred yards on the other side of the ridge....
Selfie!
He was out for a couple of hours and came back rather frustrated....the fish were jumping all around him but they weren't biting his hook! Apparently there were a lot of bugs on the surface and a chironomid hatch so I guess they were full...
After dinner, we sat outside for a bit and then decided to relax in front of the TV.
Nice way to end the day with a beautiful sunset.
