We were pretty well all packed up by 9:00 this morning...just in time to walk over to the Solo Cafe for breakfast. The ladies were busy...Kyra making morning cocktails (Bloody Marys today)...
...while Gina and DJ were busy cooking eggs, bacon and hashbrowns...
Jim and Melba joined us too...
After another delicious breakfast...thanks ladies!...we headed back to hitch the trailer to the truck and finish up the last bits of packing up. Once we were all ready to go, we made our rounds, thanking Howard and Linda for another great rally, and saying goodbye to everyone. It was great seeing our new friends from the Oregon Rally again and meeting new ones!
It was about 10:15 when we pulled out of the rally camp and headed south...we had a really tough travel day today, going all of about 8 miles! After stopping at the sani-dump and then filling up with fresh water, we found our way over to the spot where we had been last November. It was empty and just waiting for us...perfect!
We situated the fifth-wheel east-west to get the most out of our solar panels and proceeded to unhitch and get all set up. Steve even offloaded the quads while I sorted the laundry and got it ready for the laundromat.
We headed back into Quartzsite at about 2:00. Steve dropped me off at the laundromat and went off to run some errands...the main one was getting our propane tanks filled. Both were empty...we can't figure that one out as we always fill the first tank to empty?!
After two wonderful hours in a hot laundromat (on a hot day), I was all finished and Steve had completed his errands, which included purchasing more LED lights for the trailer. We stopped to fuel up the truck with the cheapest diesel we could find...$4.10/gallon and more gas for the quads and generator....and then headed home.
It was almost 5:00 by the time we got home and as soon as Steve connected the propane tanks (so that I could turn on the fridge) we walked down to see Earl and Alison. It was so great re-connecting with them!
An ATV ride is planned for tomorrow...looking forward to it!
