After our usual leisurely start to the day, we did our resistance exercises, had breakfast and got cleaned up. Steve thought he should clean the solar panels...we want to ensure we capture as much of the sun’s energy as possible to get those batteries charged. So he headed out with the Windex and a roll of paper towels and climbed up on the roof. When he was finished doing that, I took over the bottle of Windex and cleaned the outside of the windows...must have clean windows to enjoy the wonderful view!
Another hard day at work....With our “chores” done for the day, we decided to go out for a walk. We walked along the road that follows the canyon edge...passing two other campers...another Montana 5th wheel from California and then a lone fellow out in a tent. It was about a mile out to the end...lots of pictures....
That's our rig just above Steve's shoulder...

We were back at our trailer about an hour later. The rest of the afternoon was spent relaxing in our chairs overlooking the canyon with the San Juan River below. There is a constant stream of vehicles coming and going in the day use/lookout area...lots of people coming to see the amazing view. By late afternoon/evening a few more RVer’s had set up camp along the canyon edge (there were now 7 of us all together). There is tons of room so everyone is well spaced out...well except one motorhome that decided to park across the road behind us. Very odd place to pull over...hmm...guess he didn’t want a view (other than the side of our 5th wheel).
This picture is taken from inside the trailer....
After dinner and dishes, we settled in for another evening of TV before heading to bed. We had had a lovely relaxing day...we’re going to do a little more exploring of the area tomorrow. There is supposed to be another beautiful lookout over the river not too far away...we also need to fill one of our propane tanks—hopefully we can do that in Mexican Hat.
