Saturday, March 23, 2019 (Travel to Guaranty RV Service, Junction City, OR)

We were up early and headed over to the casino for breakfast...it was still dark and gloomy out. The lounge was open for breakfast, so we enjoyed a good bacon/sausage and egg breakfast. It was getting light out as we walked back to the rig, but still rainy and gloomy...
We pulled out at 7:45...early for us, making our way back to I-5 north. It was pretty much an uneventful drive with intermittent rain, sometimes heavy...we even had the occasional ray of sunshine peak though. Here are some pictures I took along the way.

Shasta Lake...

It's a beautiful area...especially in the sunshine, but no sun today...

Just past the lake last summers wildfires have devastated this area for miles...

 Some wildlife!
Beautiful area north of Weed, CA. See the metal dragon on the right...

 The Klamath River...

 And we're finally in Oregon!
Siskiyou Mountain Summit...elevation 4310'
Emigrant Lake as we go down into Ashland...
 Rogue River...
As we were exiting the I-5 onto highway 569 in Eugene, we had one sudden and horrendous downpour of rain and hail. It only lasted a few minutes, thank goodness!
We pulled into Guaranty RV Service Center just after 3:30, deciding to park in the service lane and walk across the street to see if there were any sites available in their holding lot.
And yes that's a big crack in our windshield. With the warmer weather that "'FINALLY'' showed up a few days before we left Quartzsite, the rock chip we had, developed into a long crack from the heat. We'll get it replaced as soon as we get home....this will be our third windshield!

There were a couple of spots available against the side, where there is power and water hookups. We picked one and Steve went back to get the rig while I stayed at the site. He got the trailer backed in, levelled and unhitched..and I began my setup inside while Steve took care of connecting the power and water. After that was done, he moved the truck to a vacant spot across from us...and managed to get inside just as the rain started. Good timing!

We spent the rest of the afternoon and evening relaxing inside...it's so nice to have our home all set up again. Tomorrow will just be a chill day after 3 long travel days...and then our appointment at Guaranty is 8:00 Monday morning.
