Jim, Jim and Red...Jim on the left owns the RC Hanger and the RC Airfield is named after him. The other Jim is there daily and is the local expert that rebuilds crashed and damaged planes. Here they're helping Red with a used Mustang he just purchased from Jim on the left...
Once we were both home, Steve "pumped and dumped" the holding tanks while I worked on a blog update....and that was pretty much our day.
Sunday was ride day...riders gathering at our place..
I lent my quad to Dave...
They headed off at 10:00 with Steve in the lead to start with as Jim wanted to show Randy and Jacquie the Indian grinding holes and the Gold Eye Mine but couldn't remember how to get there. Roger/Cindi, and Dave were tagging along too....I'll pass this over to Steve now...
No pictures of the above as they've been on previous posts but I did include the ancient footprint again. Jim led the way.
Those in the lead are arriving on the left...
Jim wet the print as best he could so it was more visible...
Then tried it on for size...LOL!
On our return to the quads Randy discovered a flat tire, so after inserting a few plugs and pumping it up we were on our way!
Our next destination is Deer Run Resort...
We passed by another group...
This is a very long steep hill...
Lots of fun!
Arriving at Deer Run Resort for lunch...
Every time we come here there's different stuff...
Time to head back with Steve in the lead again...
Another great day on the trails! Washing the dust down at Beer Bellies Adult Day Care...Dave, Jim/Cec and Cindi/Roger...
While they were gone, Leslie and I got out for a short walk and then I pretty well spent the rest of the day working on blog updates.
The gang got back at about 3:30...and after putting the quads away, we all headed over to Jim and Cec's for happy hour. Unfortunately, the wind had really come up making it unpleasant to sit outside, so it was a short gathering
Steve spent most of the day inside editing pictures while I sat knitting...alternating sitting out in the sun and then back inside when the clouds covered the sun.
Dave and Leslie came over and joined us for an inside happy hour. It's just been too cold and windy to sit outside much and have our usual group happy hour gatherings.
After dinner, we chilled for the rest of the evening watching TV.
It's weird that all the ATV trails in the area lead to Beerbellys…...
ReplyDeleteHa, Ha...not all trails!
DeleteThat is quite the footprint ... amazing.
ReplyDeleteIt would be interesting to know the history of the time and age of the print.
