Tuesday, November 14, 2017 (Boondocking Site, Sedona, AZ)

Tuesday morning, Ray and Deb headed off to do a little exploring around Sedona. We still have a lot of catching up to do with pictures and blogs, so we declined their offer to tag along with them. We explored the area on a previous visit 6 years ago, so for those interested in reading about that visit, click here.

One of the things we really wanted to do was to climb up the hill beside us and take a look at the view from up there...and of course, take more pictures! So with my hiking pole in hand, we headed off...up that hill shown in the picture below...
It was a pretty rocky hike up with no trail to follow...but we made it!

Boondockers...
Panoramic view...
There's a drilling rig in the distance that we can see from our site and is all lit up at night. Not sure what it's all about as they are always spraying water into the desert.

The RC Air Field is next door...
That's not a speck of dust on your screen but a remote controlled plane top centre...
On our way down...

Back home after our hike, I showered and then did a little reading and a little knitting while Steve tackled more pictures. I can't work on the blog until he has the pictures done.

At about 2:30, we headed into Cottonwood to run a few errands...propane and groceries...and were finished all that just in time to arrive for drinks, dinner and a visit with our good friend, Sherry.

We first met Sherry and her late husband, Jesse, in September, 2012 at our first RV-Dreams Rally. The last time we saw Sherry (and Jesse) was three years ago on a visit here, along with more good friends, Ruth and Dale, and Pam and Red (more RV-Dreams pals). A link to our last visit in 2014, click here.

We had a fabulous visit!
Sherry's niece, who's name is also Sherry, was also visiting...actually she is in the process of moving here from Michigan. We had a delicious dinner of pizza and salad...and more wine! (except Steve, he was driving so "nursed" a couple of beer all evening!)

It was going on 8:00 when we reluctantly bid Sherry...and Sherry...goodnight. Thanks so much for a lovely visit, the bundle of firewood, and allowing us to fill our water jugs...it was wonderful seeing you again (and meeting you, Sherry).
