Sunday and Monday, January 24 and 25, 2016 (La Posa South LTVA, Quartzsite, AZ)

Considering we had decided to have a "do nothing" day Sunday, we ended up being quite busy getting lots of chores done. After a big breakfast, Steve headed outside...he filled the trailer with fresh water (thanks for filling the barrel, Earl)  and then later decided to clean the air filters on the quads. Oh yeah...when we got home from our ride yesterday, he noticed that my quad now has a leaky right front CV boot...geez! He's going to order a new one on-line and, with all of the help available here, learn how to replace it.

My day was busy taking care of a bunch of odds and ends, cleaning, replacing the ink cartridge in the printer, printing off more "business" cards, preparing our contribution to the potluck tomorrow, baking and working on a blog post. I even managed to sit outside and work on a crocheting project that has been neglected lately.

Late afternoon, we were sitting outside with a bevie enjoying the late afternoon sun, when Jim and Barb, along with Daisy, came over for a visit. Always nice to chat with them.

Monday morning we were up around 6:00 and after a couple of hours sitting in our recliners, drinking coffee with our devices (laptop/iPad) on our laps...yes, our usual start..we finally got on with our day. We did our exercises, showered and had breakfast and I was about to start dishes when we heard the familiar "bling bong" of an incoming Skype call. We were greeted by our son, Rob and grandson, Conner...who sat watching as we sang Happy Birthday to him. Yes, today is his third birthday...wow 3 years old already! Happy Birthday, little buddy! Sitting beside him in his high-chair was Bryce watching intently....and then Angie joined in too. Although we didn't have a very clear video, it was so good seeing and chatting with all!

After the Skype call, we finished the dishes and then Steve went outside to gas up our quads (ready for another ride tomorrow) while I cut up the wraps (making pinwheels) to take to the RV-Dreams Mini Reunion this afternoon. We loaded the table, Campfire-in-a-Can, propane tank (just in case we want a campfire) and cooler into the truck and shortly before 12:30, we headed over to the picnic shelter. We were just getting things set up when people started arriving.

It was a beautiful day...just a little breezy, much nicer than the reunion we had last year. We had a great turnout...39 RV-Dreamers plus another couple that had also joined in last year.
Tom, Allen, Red and Dave...Allen was grilling burgers and Red, hot dogs...

Everyone brought a dish...we had an amazing assortment of wonderful food...

  4. Y'all are super special folks! It was just a great day and we lover meeting some Dreamers we did not meet last year.
We appreciate all the hard work you put into organizing this event. You are pros at this.
Now we have to find a way to work off the extra pounds we gained from all the great goodies.
