Well, not a very interesting day today...after our usual morning routine, I gathered and sorted the mountain of laundry that had accumulated and got it ready to be hauled out to the truck.
It was going on 11:00 when we headed out to the Laundromat that had been recommended to us. It was about 15 minutes away on Main Street in Mesa. We spent an exciting couple of hours there...Steve reading his magazine (and guarding my purse) while I searched out dryers—it would appear that we arrived just after everyone else had and as our washers finished, all the dryers were taken. Mind you, it probably wasn`t the best of ideas to decide to do our laundry on a Saturday morning!
After the laundry was all done, we made a quick trip to Walmart to pick up a TracFone airtime card. I had tried to buy more airtime online but when it came to paying for it, it wouldn`t let me enter a Canadian billing address. One thing I am finding with TracFone is that they say you can do everything by calling their 1-800 number or by going to their website...well, they really want you to use their 1-800 number, hence you use all the minutes that you just paid for. On the plus side, though, the airtime minutes that you purchase are doubled when you activate them...we bought a 200 minute airtime card and received 400 minutes.
Once home, I put the laundry away while Steve went online researching pocket cameras. Not sure what I am going to end up with but my camera definitely needs to be replaced. Steve wishes there was a 'London Drugs' down here...it`s funny how you get used to the stores back home and you know what they sell and the quality.
Steve now keeps his camera handy at all times...yesterday he saw a coyote come through our campsite but wasn`t able to get a picture...this afternoon, he got some great pictures of the Peachy-faced Lovebirds feasting on the birdseed....
Dennis and Suzanne called early this evening...they have arrived safe and sound in Mesa. We made arrangements to get together tomorrow...it`s going to be great seeing them...can hardly wait!
Hello, I came upon your blog when reading another that I frequently follow. I too write a blog since we retired and started traveling. We too are in Usery Mountain Regional Park right now, how ironic. Hope you are enjoying your stay here as much as we are.
