Thursday, January 24, 2019 (La Posa South LTVA, Quartzsite,AZ)

We're off on another ride today...ten of us on seven 4-wheelers. Earl leading, followed by me, Joanne/Steve, Randy/Jacquie, Jim/Cec, Guy and Steve.

First stop was Dripping Springs...it seemed everyone decided to ride today!
Then Apache Chief Cabin for lunch. We were the first to arrive but weren't alone for long...that's our group on the right...
Our group...
Because we've already posted GoPro pics of our previous ride to Dripping Springs and Apache Chief Cabin Steve didn't take any video until we passed that area...over to Steve now...

I-10 is at the base of the mountain...
This section is the old I-10 highway. You can see the semi trucks on the current I-10 just above my right hand...
 Time for a break...
We have to cross the I-10 to get to the Lazarus Tanks in search of some geocaches, an area we've never been to before...
Over the I-10...seems the trails are much busier than the highway today...LOL!
 Nearing the gravel trail...

Arriving at the Lazarus Tank area...Randy and Jacqui left us from here to tend to their dog...
Joanne and Steve in the lead...we have a bit of a hike to get to the right of that pinnacle...
Not much of a trail here...

 Up and over the rocks...
Looking back from above those rocks...you can do it Earl!
Earl pointing towards the direction of the tanks...
You can see the other Steve in red up the mountain while Earl and some of the others went into the gorge to see if there was any water in the tanks while Dianne and I started looking for the geocache...
Apparently the tanks were dry...
Earl and Diane heading towards the geocache area...

 Peek-A-Boo!
We hunted high and low...
Not up here...
 Nothing here...
Earl and Allison found it years ago but he couldn't remember where...
We had to mark this one as a "did not find" so it was time to head down to the quads and search for some others...
Earl leading us away...
 Steve and Joanne...
We found the other geocaches, then it was time to head home. We saw some deer on the way back but they were too far away for a photo...

This time we had to cross under the I-10...

Another great day out on the quads and we got to see some new area!
