At 9:00 Steve and Red headed over to the RC airfield while Pam and I were off to Parker to stock up at Walmart and Safeway.
Although it was a pleasant "girls" day away...not too exciting. We didn't even go out for lunch! Steve and Red had a great time at the airfield with plenty of pictures taken. If you're not into model RC airplanes, you may want to "fast-forward" past them...just a warning LOL!
Apprentice pictured below in the next 3 photos. It's a trainer with 3 different skill level settings plus a panic button for recovery if you should happen to loose control.
Apprentice S 15e RC airplane. Yes, he wore me down LOL! He also had to join MAAC in Canada for insurance purposes.
Late afternoon found us sitting outside under our awning/sunshade enjoying great conversation with Jim, Red, Harry...along with a friend he worked with at Amazon, Brian...and Vicki.
I stole the next 3 drone pictures from Jim and Barb's blog (thanks, Jim!). It shows where we are all situated here on the desert...the only difference is that Red and Pam are now in the spot where Steve and Debbie were. "Us" is Jim and Barb...

Shortly before 9:00 Wednesday morning, Red and Steve headed off to the RC airfield again. Now that Steve has joined the club they were going to help out at a work party this morning.
While they were gone, I got out for a walk and then cleaned up inside. They were only gone for about an hour and a half but then decided to check out an area near Rainbow Acres where there is a clear flat area that Steve said is used as another RC airfield. So off they went in Red's Rhino. On their way back a large Mule Deer buck darted by. They drove around trying to locate it again to get a picture. It finally showed itself quite a ways away, so the zoomed in cell phone picture isn't the greatest. It had a large set of antlers but they were never close enough to count the tines, and zooming in on the photo just blurred any detail.
Next thing we knew it was going on 4:00...time to get ready for our "now" annual beer tasting session with Jim and Barb....Harry and Vicki and Red and Pam also joined us...
