Today was one of those super fast days where you say...hey, where did that day go! But it is usually said because you have been busy doing stuff....well, we really didn't do much. It's amazing how fast time can go by when you are just puttering around!
We did get out for a good power walk...haven't done one of those for a long time! Our usual route is just over 3 miles/5 kms and it took us 50 minutes today. Once back, I jumped into the shower...it was going on towards noon!
Steve contacted the makers of our helmet radios, ChatterBox. The mount broke off mine at the beginning of summer and since the mount and speakers are all in one piece, we thew it away. Steve was hoping to be able to get a replacement. Well, to make a long story short, our model of radios aren't made anymore and after Steve mentioned that we have never really been happy with the two different models we've had they offered to send us their latest slim model of radios for free...sweet! Last year they had replaced our first set of radios for free that were no longer under warranty. We certainly weren't expecting that! All we had to do was package up the old ones and he would send the replacements once he received them.
So Steve got them all boxed up and we walked into Fort Langley to the post office. It's been really warm here, so lots of people are down at the beach along the river. The water is sure a lot lower than it was last spring!
A couple of oldies, but goodies parked along the main road in Fort Langley...
After getting the package off in the mail, we stopped at the market for a couple of things and then headed back across the bridge to the park. This is a picture of the river looking the other way (east)...
It was going on 3:30 by the time we got home...I didn't feel like doing all of the laundry (we have quite a collection after 3 weeks!) so I thought I would start by just putting on one load...a new strategy for me! A load now...a load in the morning...eventually it will all get done! Mind you at that rate I will constantly be doing laundry...hmmm...might have to rethink this! LOL!
After dinner, we went for a walk around the campground...and that was our first day back at Fort Camping!
Hi Dianne,
ReplyDeleteIs that first photo taken at Fort Camping? I'm planning a trip to that area soon and am very curious about the beach access - nothing is apparent on their website, and it looks like you've spent a lot of time there! Would you mind shooting me a quick email if you have time to chat? katietes (at) hotmail dot com
Thanks!
Katie
Yes that is the beach on the Fraser River next to the campground.
