Saturday, August 3, 2013 (Resurrection Bay South Campground, Seward, Alaska)

Steve (and consequently me) was woken by the wind rattling the trailer at 5:30 this morning.  Unable to get back to sleep, he got up and put the coffee on...that doesn't happen often; I am usually the first one up!

It was another cold, wet morning and by the time we had finished our coffee, done our resistance exercises, showered, etc, etc...it was late morning by the time we were ready to head out.  We decided today would be a good day to visit the Alaska Sealife Center.   We paid the admission...using our two-for-one Alaska Saver Coupon book...and headed upstairs to start our tour.  Lots of other people had the same idea...it was a busy place...

Although a little hard to read, this sign describes the devastation caused by the Exxon Valdez when it went aground in Prince William Sound in 1989...

We finished our tour of the Sealife Center at about 12:30...and decided to go to the Seward Brewing Company for lunch...a very nice treat!  After that we went to the library to use their Wi-Fi...and that's where we spent the rest of the afternoon.  A pretty nice view overlooking the ocean from the library window...even if it is cloudy out.

We got home at about 4:00 and spent the evening enjoying the view from inside...it was cold and windy out!
