We woke to a spectacular (but windy) day....our last day here enjoying the spectacular views overlooking Lake Mead. Steve could hear coyotes howling when he got up so went outside to see if he could see them...no coyotes but he did get a great shot of early morning shadows on the surrounding hills...
It was another laid back kind of day...we had our usual start, then did our resistance exercises, showered and had breakfast. I had started to clean up the kitchen when Steve saw some Turkey Vultures soaring overhead...he got a close-up shot of one...
It was noonish when we decided to get out for another walk...we took the road that branches off to the left just before our spot and goes down directly in front of us.
This is the second time we've seen desert boat campers...
Steve said that this is as far as he would go in a large rig...pretty bumpy!
Looking back from that motorhome parked down on the point below us. You can just make out a van parked below us that looked suitable for a big rig...
Turn around area before going quite steeply down to the point on one side and boat launch area on the other...
This seems to be the boat launching area...
Our rig is up there on the left.
The wind and clouds gave the water a variety of colours today. Steve would sit for hours with his binoculars never tiring of the awesome views...
Our last happy hour here...ahhhh..........
And the end to a beautiful, but somewhat windy day. Tomorrow we are leaving here and continuing along Northshore Lake Road towards the Overton Wildlife Management Area to meet up with friends (and future bosses) Doug and Toni...looking forward to it!
Looks like a lovely spot ..glad you had time to enjoy it !!
