Tuesday, March 27, 2012 (Travel to Millersylvania State Park, Olympia, Washington)

We left Memaloose State Park shortly after 9:00 on this cloudy, cool morning...and continued west towards Portland.

We stopped at a viewpoint for a break...

Millersylvania State Park is 3 miles off Interstate 5 and 10 miles south of Olympia.  It was 1:00 when we pulled into this heavily wooded park on Deep Lake.  Although on a lake, the campground sites are set away from the water with only the day use area right next to the lake.  The road into the campground is fairly narrow and lined with tall trees...we manoeuvred into the part of the campground that is open.  This part of the park is a big open area with long pull-through sites serviced with water and electricity (30 amp).

After we got all set up, we thought we would go for a walk.  They must have had some major winds this past winter because there were a lot of trees and branches down...a big clean up job is needed to get this park in shape for the summer season!

This is one of the big picnic shelters by the lake...

The change rooms and restrooms by the lakefront...
...and the lake...
