Saturday morning shortly after 10:00 we headed off into Langley to some shopping...not a great day to shop being Saturday with the crowds but it had to be done. After a Costco stop, it was onto Walmart, London Drugs and finally the BC Liquor Store...gotta stock up for our happy hours LOL!
The traffic was backed up as we attempted to make our way back through Fort Langley. It's a busy place on weekends, especially when the weather is beautiful. There was a Saturday Farm Market that looked busy...
...as well as one side street that was blocked off and it looked like a bunch of food trucks. Quite a festive atmosphere...
Once we made it home, I quickly put the groceries away and then made lunch...we sat outside at the picnic table to eat; better take advantage of the nice weather because clouds and rain is in the forecast. After finishing, Steve decided it was time to get some pictures of our site...
Even though it was hot and humid out, we decided to go for a walk. We started by going to the bridge and get a picture of the the people enjoying the beach and water on the Fraser River...
...then we started on the trail to Tavistock Point. A big windstorm had gone through the lower mainland area a couple of weeks ago that did a lot of damage and caused power outages that lasted for days. Lots of branches and trees down...looks like this one hit the back fence of the campground. The campground had been evacuated so hopefully there was no damage to any RV's...
Tavistock Point...the level of the "mighty" Fraser River is awfully low...
Practicing getting back into their Kayak...
A beautiful estate...
Back at the campground...this is the store and pool area...
After our walk, it was time for a bottle of water...and then happy hours. Deb and Ray's son and his girlfriend (Garrett and Kat) had come out from Vancouver to clean the roof of their motorhome...so they all joined us for a chat. Here I am with Freya and Freya's half sister, Kira (Garrett's dog)...
Ray, Deb, Kat and Garrett...
I see you have some new four legged friends.. Don't worry we won't tell Tucker !!
