Wednesday, September 5, 2018 (Arm of Gold Campground, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia)

We had a pretty laid back day today, choosing to just hang out here and get a few things done. Before getting to work, though, we thought we'd get out for a little exercise and take a walk around the campground.
Activity Center...

Far left building houses restrooms/showers and laundry; next to it is an information center housing maps, brochures, listings of local events, festivals, concerts, church schedules, pay phones and a book exchange. Not sure of the next building...and the finally, the office...
There is a 1.2 km walking trail that gives a panoramic view of the Bras d’or Lake...

That's our rig with the flag...

There's an old railroad bed on the other side of the gate...
I think the campground is on 60 acres and the sites are large...

And a big picture frame standing in the field...
I spent a good part of the morning walking back and forth to the laundry room. While I was taking care of that, Steve was editing pictures...as usual.

Around 3 a fellow from Budget car rental came and picked us up …and we drove him back to the office–normally they would just drop it off but they didn’t have a second person available today, so we drove him back into North Sydney.

Our ride for the next few days as we explore Louisbourg and the Cabot Trail...
Back home we did some more planning and research for the next few days...looking forward to it!
