We had a pretty busy 5 days on our visit over to Victoria (Vancouver Island), so I have broken down our trip into a few blogs...here's the first one.
It was shortly after 11:00 when we headed to the BC Ferry terminal in Tsawwassen. We were planning on catching the 1:00 p.m. sailing...but we almost managed the noon one...they cutoff boarding right in front of us!
We received a wonderful greeting from Angie and boys...Conner and Bryce...
Rob got home from work around 5:00 and we sat our on the deck having a nice visit before dinner. So nice to see them all again...it's been awhile!
Right after dinner, it was time to watch hockey! Steve (we) don't normally watch hockey...or any sports, for that matter...but the Vancouver Canucks are in the playoffs, and with so little to watch lately, Steve has gotten right into it! The Canucks are playing the St. Louis Blues...in game 1 tonight...and won! Good start!
Thursday morning we were both up super early (5:30)...for some reason neither one of us had a good sleep, unusual in the comfy bed they have for us.
Steve dropped me off in Sidney for my 9:30 pedicure appointment then went for a walk along the waterfront...

About an hour later, Steve picked me up and we headed to Saanichton for his 11:00 haircut appointment. With all of our personal grooming done (LOL), we decided to go out for lunch. We have only gone out for a meal once since Silly Al's Pizza in Quartzsite! It was a beautiful day, so we decided on the Rumrunner Pub and Restaurant on the Sidney waterfront...
Once back at Rob and Angie's, Steve and Conner went out for a hike on the trails while I went back into Sidney to run a couple of errands. Meanwhile Angie had been cooking up a storm all day...looking forward to lasagne for dinner tonight!

And that concludes the first 2 days...lots of fun times and pictures to come...
