We woke to another gorgeous day...we can't believe what great weather we've been having on our journey north. Today's route took us through more fabulous countryside with stunning scenery.
We continued north on highway 17, stopping in Moses Lake to fuel up.
It was a spectacular day but it was very windy...look at the dust!
Soap Lake...
Interesting spot...
Blue Lake...
Sun Lakes/Dry Falls State Park area...looks like a great spot for another time,
Windy and dusty!
In fact twice the wind blew our steps out on the trailer so Steve had to bungee cord them...
Bridgeport...
Chief Joseph Dam...
We connected with highway 97 just past the dam.
We had a relatively short travel day today, arriving in Omak, WA around noon. That's the city park, Carl Precht Memorial RV Park, down on the left side of the highway...it would appear that Serena (our GPS) is taking us the long way around to the park.
Okanogan River...
Cool old car...
We eventually made our way to the RV park and selected a pull-through site at the end of the row. Not very busy here...only 3 other rigs there when we arrived...all from Canada. I think this is a popular stopover for a last Walmart and fuel stop as us Snowbirds head back home. We're going to settle here for a couple of nights...so got all set up. Full-hook ups with 50 amp...it's been awhile! $25/night including Wi-Fi.
Homes up on the hill overlooking the river and valley...
After we were all set up, we relaxed inside. I downloaded all of the pictures from the last few days...it was time for Steve to get started on editing. We have had 4 travel days...we are looking forward to a down day tomorrow before crossing the border into BC Monday.
