Friday morning started off with fog over the lake...beautiful. It didn't take long to burn off, though, leaving a gorgeous blue sky. It was just before 9:30 when we gave Sue and Doug (and Tucker) big hugs and said our goodbyes...for now, that is. Thanks for a great spring and summer...enjoy your winter and we'll see you next Spring!
After stopping at the sani-dump in Logan Lake, we continued south on highway 97C to Merritt. Goodbye Merritt...
We pulled into Fort Camping, Brae Island Regional Park in Fort Langley around 2:00...our "home away from home" where we usually spend about a month every spring and fall. We didn't go there last spring...so it has been a year since we've been here.
I had reserved our favourite site so after a quick check-in, we were soon pulling into C1...and right next to us were our friends Deb and Ray...and Freya! After hugs and chatting with them for a few minutes, it was time to get our home set up.
One thing we both really noticed when we got out of the truck was the humidity...OMG, it was stifling! Wow, something to get used to after the arid dryness of the interior!
We got our home all set up and then joined Deb and Ray for happy hour...we chatted for awhile and then headed to The Fort Pub for dinner...
We're looking forward to our month here...but it's going to go quickly! So much on our "to do" list as well as doctors/dentist appointments and trips over to the island.
