Tuesday, January 13, 2015 (La Posa South LTVA, Quartzsite, AZ)

We all met over at Red and Pam's place and headed off at 10:00...Ray, Deb and Freya in their car and Red, Pam, Steve and I in Red's truck. We're going to check out Palm Canyon in the Kofa National Wildlife Refuge. We went south on hwy 95 and then after about 18 miles, turned east on a gravel road.
The windy road ahead leads to Palm Canyon...

After 7 miles on the gravel road, we arrived at the parking area for Palm Canyon.

There is a half mile walk into the canyon to the viewing area for the palms...

 Palm Canyon...

Yuma Proving Ground in the distance...

Me, Red, Pam, Freya, Deb and Ray...with Palm Canyon behind us...

We had a break, enjoying the beautiful scenery and then headed back...

Back at the parking area, we all sat in the sunshine having a "tailgate" lunch. Although the sun was shining, it was very windy, so once our lunch was finished, we quickly climbed back into the vehicles and headed home.

We spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing inside...it was so windy outside! Steve was sitting out for a bit...it wasn't bad with the trailer as a windbreak but then decided to join me inside. I worked on our blog while he read.

Around 4:00 we walked across to Red and Pam's and played a few games of Joker. The guys were hot...winning all three games. Yes, Steve and Red...you are the champions!
