Saturday, December 20, 2014 (La Posa South LTVA, Quartzsite, AZ)

Today was another full day out on our quads, so again, this blog post is picture intensive...just a warning, LOL! (Again, you can just click on the picture to enlarge)

Art and Jan, Fred and Teri, and Steve and I met at Bob and Sue's at 10:00 then we all headed off to "pick up" Vince, who has a spot on the north side of Quartzsite...

After chatting for a few minutes, we were off!

Yay...sunshine is finally breaking through the clouds...

 We rode through Diablo Pass...
Time for a break...
 Looking back...hello Bandit (bottom right)...

And we're off to the valley in the distance...

Don't know the name of this mine but there were some beautiful rocks in the area...Jan and Teri collected some to take back...

Arriving at a Wildlife Water Catchment...aka a "Guzzler"...

There happened to be a geocache here...found it!
Okay...lets eat!

 Arriving at Dome Basin Mine...

That's quite the hike to stack those rocks...
Sue and Steve...
Fred taking a picture...
Time to head home...

 Tyson Wash...

We got home just after 3:30...another great ride...and day! We quickly unpacked the quads and put our stuff away and then sat outside enjoying the late afternoon sunshine. Unfortunately, clouds had rolled in again so we weren't out long before it just got too chilly...and we went inside.
The clouds did make for a colorful sunset, though...

I downloaded the pictures taken today and Steve started his editing. After dinner we had a nice Skype call with my brother and sister-in-law (Dennis and Suzanne)...happy birthday, Dennis! Then settled in to watch the Vancouver Canucks play the Calgary Flames...the Canucks won...finally...yay!

  3. Steve and Dianne,

How long will you be in La Posa South? We are heading out next weekend (1/3) to arrive at the Circling of the Montana's off Plomosa Road and then head to the South LTVA after the rally is over on 1/20.....

We plan on staying in Q until mid March.

    1. Hi Les, we will be here until at least mid Feb. We just might stop by the circling of the Montana's for a visit seeing how we own one. :-)
      Safe travels!

  4. Cool. Is where you are set up I the south LTVA crowded? Since this is our first time heading out there we are not sure exactly is a good spot where there is not a big crowd...

    1. It's not crowded at the moment but after Xmas it will get a lot busier everywhere until after the RV Show. You should still be able to be as close or as far away from others as the area is vast. If you want I can give you the tour before you move.
