Friday and Saturday, August 1 and 2, 2014 (Paska Lake Recreation Site, Logan Lake, BC)

It was another gorgeous day today. After our usual start, Steve decided to off-load his boat...he has put his tube away, time to use the boat. After that, he off-loaded the quads...there, all toys are out and ready for play!

While he was doing all that, I cleaned up inside and organized the fridge after throwing in the food that needed refrigeration yesterday before we left Kamloops. After that, I basically relaxed in the shade reading for the rest of the day.

Steve went out fishing for a bit in the afternoon. He didn't have much luck other than a couple of hits...and one of them took his fly. Cabins on Paska Lake....

After dinner, Steve headed back out fishing for a couple of hours. It was a beautiful evening....
Nice sunset....

Steve winding in his lines to come in. He caught 5 and lost a few.  Someone got creative with this stump at our site....

We woke to a some light clouds Saturday...there is a possibility of a thunderstorm later today, however it isn't supposed to be major...just a slight 'blip' in an awesome forecast for the next week.

Shortly after 8:00, Steve headed out in the boat for a morning fish. It ended up being a beautiful morning...the clouds had basically disappeared. He was out for about an hour and a half, having a number of hits but nothing reeled in.

See the Dragon Fly in this picture?

A deer on the shore...

We thought we would go for a quad ride today, so while I cleaned up the kitchen, Steve went on the laptop to check out the trails on BC Backroads Maps. With a route planned, the tracks downloaded to our GPS's, and our lunches packed, we were ready to head off.

Face Lake...there's a geocache on that island (don't feel like a swim today...LOL!)

 Cornwall Lake...
Ahhh....life is good!
There's so much grass on this trail...

This was a big geocache! You are encouraged to leave a paperback book...oops, sorry, no books with us!
Chuwels Lake...
...and another geocache...

Next geocache is at the far end of the lake...no riding...this one's a hike....
Found it under the tree....
Chuwels Lake Rec Site in the distance...

We were hoping this road would take us to the towers that we could see from our camp...it dead ended here....

That's Greenstone Mtn in the distance that we were on a few days ago...
 Hello girls!
 See Dianne in my mirror?
Mile High Resort on Face Lake...

About four hours, 42 kms and 3 geocaches later we were back home...it was going on 3:30. We'd had another great ride.

We unpacked the quads and changed back into shorts and flip-flops...then it was time to relax in the shade for the rest of the afternoon. We watch big billowy clouds come in...and sure enough later on in the evening, we could hear the rumble of thunder. There was some lightning and thunder but not much rain other than a few sprinkles.
