Wednesday, November 14, 2012 (Crossroads BLM Campground, Parker, AZ)

We didn’t do much today.  At around 11:00 we headed into town to go grocery shopping...and get propane, gas and diesel.  We topped off the diesel tanks with the lowest diesel price that we have seen in quite awhile...$3.95/gallon.

Once back home, I put the groceries away while Steve puttered around outside, packing a few things away in preparation for leaving tomorrow.  After he was finished, he got his camera out and took a few pictures around our site...

This is the area in front of us...

...and towards the entrance...

Then Steve joined me relaxing in the shade...ahhh...the gravity chair feels good on the back...

Just before 4:00 we walked over to the Emerald Cove RV Resort, bypassing the main gate and “sneaking” in a side gate.  They have “happy hour” each day from 3 to 6pm...so we thought we would go check it out.  Steve took some pictures as we walked through the RV resort...

We had no problem finding the bar...we just had to follow the noise...it was set between the resort’s two swimming pools and there were quite a few people enjoying the $1 draft beer.  The bar is behind the white screen...

So we joined them by grabbing a beer and sitting down at a table...and that is where we spent the next couple of hours.  We were even going to have dinner there because the prices were so good...$4.99 for 2 pieces of fish (cod) and chips...but when Steve went up to find out what time they closed, he found out that the kitchen closes at 5:30.  Well, it was 5:28 but they said the kitchen was backed up and they were not taking any more orders...sheesh!  That sucks.

We were back home just after 6:00 and had a quick dinner and then relaxed in front of the TV for the rest of the evening.
