Saturday, September 10, 2011 (Fort Steele Resort & RV Park, Fort Steele, BC)

Today was another work day...we headed outside just after 8:00 and started washing the trailer.  That took all morning...and then after a bite to eat for lunch, Steve said “well, I’d like to get some wax on the snout of the trailer before the sun comes around”.  He had used some black streak remover on it the last time we washed it and wanted to get some protection back on it.

How silly of me to think that that was all he was going to do...next thing I know, he has decided to carry on and do the side of the trailer that is in the shade. Well...I guess it’s time for a total re-wax since the last time it was done was last February when we had an RV detailer at Myrtle Beach do it.  I was the ladder holder as he climbed up high to reach the top...oh...I also had to hand him the wax container.
It wasn’t too long until my duties expanded to applying and buffing the lower sections of the trailer.  What a job!  We completed one side of the trailer...by this time it was just after 4:00 so we decided to relax with a drink and some appies.  But we weren’t finished yet!
We relaxed for about an hour waiting for the sun to move around so that the back of the trailer would be in the shade so that we could get it waxed.  Oh yeah, the awning rails needed to be done too...

Needless to say, we were pooped by the time we had finished.  We’d had a full day of work and our arms were feeling it!

Tomorrow we’ll be up bright and early again so that we can get the other side of the trailer waxed before the sun gets to it...
